67 Volkswagen Judson Supercharged This was one of the first vehicles I have completely restored. I still own this one and will probably never let it go. 1967 was an interesting year for the beetle. It is the first year for 12V electrical system as evident by the sealed beam headlights, however it shares many of the attractive design features of the previous years. For instance 1967 was the last year for a painted, non-padded dash, smaller chrome bumpers without the rubber strip, horn grills in the front fenders, and 5 lug wheels. Furthermore, many of the body panels are unique to 1967 only. The hood and fenders are 1967 only items as well as the chrome strip on the hood. I have always loved VW's for the unique design and the enjoyment obtained from driving them. Aircooled VW interiors have a very unique smell. For some added interest, this one is equipped with a 60's era Judson Supercharger. The Judsons were popular additions to the VW's as well as MG's and other light cars of the 50's through early 70's. For more information on the Judson and other vintage superchargers, visit the Judson Register. Summary
